SE Asian Communities
WHERE
According to the World Atlas, these countries are considered SE Asia.
Southeast Asians are identified by the regions they come from (aka, their nationality) or because their ancestors are from Southeast Asia.
These countries are very diverse and home to many different ethnic groups. While people may share the same nationality, they do not always come from the same ethnic background. In rural areas, there are many indigenous hill tribe communities who are considered stateless but have lived as citizens for generations. There are also different groups from neighboring countries that seek residency in a Southeast Asian country, which grow large communities around the bordering areas. In time, they too, represent as Southeast Asian.
Also, things like food, language, religion, and traditions can vary a lot depending on the region within a country. This is often due to factors like colonization, different groups taking control of areas, local climate affecting food and lifestyle, and influence from nearby cultures.
